# Troubleshooting - Packboard 1.x documentation

> What to check when an order isn't on the board, a button does nothing, slips don't open, or emails don't arrive.

## An order isn't on the board

The board lists **Processing** orders only. Open the order in WooCommerce and check its status:

- **Pending payment** or **On hold**: the payment hasn't come through, or someone put it on hold. Once it's Processing, it appears in To pick.
- **Completed**: it has already shipped (or was completed by hand or by another plugin).
- Downloadable, virtual-only orders are often completed by WooCommerce right after payment, so they never reach the board. That's intended: there's nothing to ship.

If you have more than 500 Processing orders, only the 500 oldest are on the board; a notice at the top says so.

## The buttons over a column are greyed out

They act on the selected orders in that column. Tick some cards first (or the box next to the column's name).

## Packing slips don't open

They open in a new tab, which browsers can block as a pop-up. Look for the blocked pop-up icon in the address bar and allow pop-ups for your site's admin.

If the tab opens with "The link you followed has expired", the page was open too long. Reload the board or grid and try again.

## A move says "Could not move orders (no longer processing?)"

Someone changed those orders while the board was open, for example completed or cancelled them in another tab. The board reloads after every move, so it now shows what's current.

## Customers don't get the Completed order email

Mark shipped completes the order; the email itself is WooCommerce's. Check:

1. **WooCommerce → Settings → Emails → Completed order** is enabled.
2. Other WooCommerce emails reach customers. If none do, your site's email sending is the problem; an SMTP plugin usually fixes it.
3. **WooCommerce → Status → Logs** for mail errors.

## The board looks empty or never stops loading

The board loads its orders through the WordPress REST API. A security plugin or firewall rule that blocks `/wp-json/` for logged-in users stops it. Allow `/wp-json/packboard/v1/`, or temporarily turn the security plugin off to confirm. Your browser's developer console (F12) shows the failed request.

## Still stuck?

Temporarily switch to a default theme such as Twenty Twenty-Five, with only WooCommerce and Packboard active. If the problem goes away, the difference is in your theme or another plugin. Ask in the [Packboard support forum](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/packboard/) on WordPress.org, with what you see and what you expected. Packboard Pro customers can also contact us through [extendiment.com](https://extendiment.com).
