# Adding and duplicating products - Gridline 1.x documentation

> Add a new product as a draft, or copy the selected ones, without leaving the Bulk Editor.

> [!NOTE]
> This is part of **Gridline Pro**.

## Add a product

1. Click **Add product** next to the Bulk Editor's title.
2. Enter the **Product name** and choose the **Product type**: simple, variable, grouped or external.
3. Click **Add product**.

The new product is added as a **draft** at the top of the grid. Fill in its SKU, prices, stock and categories right there, set its **Status** to Published when it's ready, and save.

Variations are added on the product screen: hover the product's name and click **Edit**. Once they exist, **Show variations** brings them into the grid.

## Duplicate products

1. Tick the products to copy.
2. Click **Duplicate** above the grid.

Each copy is made the way WooCommerce's own **Duplicate** link does it: a draft named "… (Copy)", with the original's details, categories, images and, for a variable product, its variations. SKUs are changed to stay unique. The copies appear at the top of the grid, ready to change.

Selected variations are skipped: they're copied with their product.

## Who can add and duplicate

Adding and duplicating need permission to publish products, which shop managers and administrators have. For people who can only edit products, the buttons don't appear.

## Undo

Adding and duplicating aren't in the history, so they can't be undone from there. Move unwanted products to the trash from **Products**.
